Live the life in the rush!!
What’s the weekend plan! My answer would have been lying
on bed and getting rid of the stress. But who said stress will go off if I sleep
or remain lazy!! It took a lot of time to realize what am I losing by being lazy.
This is one of those enlightening weekends. I had a corn surgically removed
from my feet yesterday, and my leg is wrapped with bandage. I am not allowed to
put pressure on my legs as there are stiches. So it is obvious that from
yesterday I am lying on bed and watching TV, chatting with friends and talking
over phone. Sounds like I am really having fun right!. But it’s not. I badly
want to get up and walk, jump, run, ride my bike, exercise in gym everything. It’s
just been 24 hours and I am already bored with my bed. Now that I am bored I got
time to think about what I was doing and what I should have done!. Until day
before yesterday I wanted all the time in the world to relax and be lazy on
bed. That was kind of my retirement dream. I had always wondered about aged
people saying “we are bored of sitting in home and resting”, I thought why don’t
these people just relax and enjoy their time watching TV or reading books. Now
that I am in this situation I understand what it means, for me at least there
is a guaranty that by next week I will be all set to wander as I wish, but for
them it is the never ending rest.
Now that I have understood this, I should say “Jawaani ek
baar hi aati hai jindagi me, jee lo jitna marji. Dubara ye nahi milegi”
So being lazy and relaxing should never be our weekend
plan. We can relax even by doing something that we don’t do regularly. We are
not farm workers who need rest for our body. Our body hardly gets strained if
you ask me. Its our mind that gets bugged up due to every days work at office.
So our mind needs variety and our body needs exercise. So better way of getting
both of this in one go is to go for Trek!!! May be I don’t sound right for few people who
find their pleasure in shopping and roaming around the malls. I am not saying
it will not relax your mind or gives your body a little workout, it does. But
what is the point if you are seeing the same buildings and living the polluted environment
even in weekend? This thing you can do even when you grow old but we cannot go
for a trek or a long solo ride or with group. Do what you won’t be able to do
when you are old, so that when you are old you will have these memories to
speak. I have decided that I want to do
what I cannot do when I am old. All that
I want to say is live the life in the rush!!! Before it is too late.
